The Kitchen Garden supplied fresh vegetables and herbs to Rough Point's table, and inspired meals for Doris and her guests. Each year, Doris had plants and seeds sent from Duke Farms, her estate in New Jersey. The plants grown in the garden today are inspired by deliveries from Duke Farms in the 1980s.
