We welcome groups to experience the beauty of Rough Point. Guided group tours introduce the singular personality of Doris Duke through the home she created, the art she collected, and the causes she embraced. The 60-minute tour visits two floors of the house, including the Fashion Gallery and Newport Galleries of Art, Design, and Craft. We invite your group to explore the grounds on your own, before or after your tour. A guided garden tour may be added for an additional fee.
Private tours & experiences. We offer special behind-the-scenes tours customized to your group, including of Doris Duke’s fashion collection at Rough Point, a beyond the tour-path experience that includes spaces not open to the public at Rough Point and Vernon House, and a special grounds and gardens tour at Rough Point. We look forward to working with you to design a unique experience for your group or special event.
