Clarke Street in Newport is one of the oldest streets in the City and holds the stories of pivotal moments in the cultural, economic, and social development of Newport.  Join us on a walking tour that explores the evolution of the streetscape, and meet the generations of Newporters who lived in, worked in, and worshiped in the neighborhood.

This tour is held in conjunction with A Matter of Truth—Newport and in partnership with the Rhode Island Black Heritage Society.

About Telling Stories: Guided Tours.

Telling Stories: Guided Tours at NRF goes deeper into the legacy of Doris Duke through the exploration of her life—including how her work preserving, restoring, and sharing Newport’s cultural heritage impacts us today.
