Join Lycette Designs and Newport Restoration Foundation for a hands-on afternoon of stitching set against spectacular ocean views.

All levels welcome, no experience required. The custom canvas, thread, needle, snips, and canvas carrying bag are included, and we’ll provide light refreshments and guidance.

The custom canvas features the Holiday Whimsical Camel pattern, in honor of Rough Point’s resident Bactrian camels, Princess and Baby.

We’re delighted to partner with Lycette Designs on an afternoon celebrating handcraft. Rough Point is filled with examples of skilled needlepoint—from 17th-century stumpwork, to 19th-century samplers, to 20th-century embroidered clothing. Arrive early to visit the museum and special exhibitions.
