The annual Doris Duke Preservation Awards, a joint program of the Newport Restoration Foundation and the City of Newport, encourages excellence in historic preservation by recognizing exemplary projects that carry forward the legacy of Doris Duke and have had a significant impact on the preservation of the cultural and historic fabric of Newport, Jamestown, Middletown, and Portsmouth.

This year we are honoring:
Hope Street Barn (1901), Newport, RI – Award for Restoration with Adaptive Reuse
Honeysuckle Lodge Carriage House (1886), Newport, RI- Award for Excellence in Craftsmanship
Ochre Court Cignaroli Ceiling Painting (ca.1735), Newport, RI- Award for Restoration and Engagement
OVERLAP Gallery (ca. 1930), Newport, RI. Adaptive Reuse and Community Impact Award

Event details:

The Doris Duke Historic Preservation Awards will take place at Rough Point located at 680 Bellevue Avenue in Newport. Complimentary valet parking will be available.
Doors to Rough Point will open at 6:00 PM with the Awards ceremony beginning at 7:00 PM. Guests will enjoy cocktails, passed and stationed foods, both before and after the ceremony.
