Noted furniture maker Jeffrey Greene will explore the colonial furniture workshops of the Townsend and Goddard families and situate them in their place in the larger Newport cabinetmaking trade. Mr. Greene is an expert on 18th-century Newport furniture and author of American Furniture of the 18th Century: History, Technique, Structure.
