The Third Annual Doris Duke Preservation Awards were held at Rough Point on Friday, September 18. Awards were presented to the Clemens Family for the rescue of Hose Station 8 and the International Yacht Restoration School for their transformation of Aquidneck Mill. The event raised $25,000 which will benefit the Doris Duke Fund for Historic Preservation which gives out grants to community organizations for local preservation projects.
